So I am new at this, although Courtney is sitting here telling step-by-step of what to do, but I figure since she just gave birth I would do the blogging for everyones benefit of seeing our new little bundle of Joy... did I say little? I meant not so little bundle of joy. He was born at 11:33 am and everything went well in surgery. He is 10 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches, so short and fat. All is well with both mom and baby. Woohoo! The nurse said he would have been 11 lbs had he not peed on her right out of the uterus, way to go son!

Drew did well with him this afternoon and wanted to hold him and kiss him, but we'll see if that keeps up when we realizes Preston is coming home for good.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers and a special thanks to Steve for for helping take care of my wife (if I hear your watch beep from my wifes belly I'll be a little worried). Preston is looking forward to seeing everyone.

Congratulations, I was thinking of you today and am glad that everything went well. I am doubly glad that you had a c-section, what a chunk (but a very cute chunk)! I cannot imagine pushing that kid out, hope you recover quickly and thanks for the quick update!!

CONGRATS! I've been thinking about you all day. Glad to know things went well. Big baby! Way to go Courtney. Enjoy these first days - I think they are so special regardless of the lack of sleep and pain. We love you guys and can't wait to someday meet Preston.

Like I said on the phone CONGRATS GUYS! He's adorable (knew he would be). Sorry i didn't make it over tonight...bret was "in-house" on call tonight and didn't get home until late. I will give you a call in the morning to see if I can come while the girls are at school....

Yep, just as cute as I thought he would be! One of the best adjustments that you will be making is changing your phrasing from "my son is so funny..." to my oldest boy is such a good big brother and my yougest son wants to be just like his big brother" or using the phrase "my other boy" - yep, I love saying things like that.
Oh, guys what a fun time - and it will only get better!

YEAH! I am glad everything went well and that Chubby boy is here! I called the RS and there should be meals coming soon. Can't wait to see that chubby boy!!! Oh and tell Doug to drop drew off on Sat if you want.
