Alright, I know I promised I would post pictures from the JDRF Walk, so here they are. And I am still learning how to re-size them, so for now, you get single pictures...sorry. The little boy in the first picture is my cousin Brenner. He is the one with Juvenile Diabetes.

An Eventful Week
Alright everybody, bare with me. This is going to be a long post. Our camping trip went really well. It was Drew's first time camping and I have to say, he loved it! I have a lot of cousins and all of them took to Drew right away. Drew had an absolute blast being able to play in the dirt and throw the rocks, and to sit by the fire. The one thing I think he loved the most was watching the chipmunks and the squirrels. In fact, we had a squirrel that would eat right out of our hands.
Every year we do a horseshoe competition, and this years competition was in pairs. We each had a partner and it was a double elimination. My partner and I made it through the first competition, but we got out on the second. After the competition is over, the winners get a trophy!

Our family is huge into games as well. We played tons of cards and we also did a game where we each were divided into four teams and were given three primary songs. We had to chose one of our primary songs and make up a song about the family with that tune. It was an absolute blast! Our family is big into joking so when this came about, there was no stopping us!
We got home on Thursday, and Friday night we did a dinner fundraiser for JDRF and our team. Because of that, we were able to turn in $1800 for the walk today. The walk for the cure was great! My aunt was able to get the Jazz Bear to come and represent our team, "Brenner's Buddies!" It was great to see little Brenner light up when the Bear came!
The walk was at Wheeler Farm and we did two laps around the trails...well, most people did two walks, Drew was done after one! After the walk they served hot dogs for lunch with chips and drinks. Then Brenner was able to judge a classic car show. I'll show you pictures of the walk and the car show when I get them from my aunt since I forgot my camera. I know, here you all tell me to take pictures, and what do I do? Forget my camera!
Well, that's it for now, I hope you all enjoy your day! CHOW!!

Day two on the road
The drive Saturday went well. Although we started a little later than we planned on. As we loaded up the car again to leave the hotel, Drew threw up again. Luckily there was a Walgreens next to the hotel, with the nicest Pharmacist...who was a fellow Iowan!! She told us to give Drew Benadryl to dry up the flem, and Ginger Ale to settle his stomach. I am now a firm believer in the two. The ginger in the Ginger Ale is what clams the stomach. So, if you ever have an upset stomach, drink Ginger Ale, not sprite.
Like I said, the drive was great when we finally got going. We got some great pictures again, but since I'm headed out the door to go camping, I will post those by the end of the week. I will post again probably Friday since we don't get home from camping until Thursday.
Have a great week!

Oh Me, Oh My
Well I have to say that our first day on the road was quite eventful. I can only imagine what today will bring. We had to stop several times. Twice to fix my bike which was on top of the car, then to get gas, food, and to change Drew! We were about an hour away from Chyenne, WY, which is where we spent the night, when Drew threw up. He hasn't been feeling good for the last couple of days, but yesterday he woke up and was fine all day. So when he pulled that little stunt, I wasn't expecting it! I think he has his mommy's tummy and gets car sick. The weather was fantastic! The only time it was bad was when we pulled off the road to clean Drew up after his little episoed. And it poured. It was raining so hard, my dad and i were doaked by the time we finished. My dad and I took some great pictures on our way to Chyenne so I'll post those when i get to Utah.

Spilt Beans
Yesterday we had dinner over at the Grover's house. We had such a delicious meal! After dinner Erica served a warm peach pie....YUM! And while we were eating our pie, do you know what happened? Erica started to spill info about Harry Potter #7, which I am still reading! Can you believe her?! I mean, I almost got to read the whole book without somebody spilling the beans! As soon as the words came out of her mouth, she was motified! Infact, I think she even shed a tear for how sorry she was! It's a good thing I like you Erica, or we wouldn't be speaking!!

President Faust
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints lost an amazing man this morning. President James E. Faust served as a General Authority for 35 years. What a wonderful man to have been able to hear through our conferences. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences go out to his family and the First Presidency of the Church. My lazy little boy!
Drew loves his chair, but what he loves most, is to lay in it! He will grab his blankets (all 5 of them) and cover himself up and then tell us, "Nigh, nigh" and lay in his chair. He never falls asleep, but he will sure relax!

Oh, what fun!
I know it's been a couple days, but I was trying to play around with my new photoshop, so sorry this is late. Thursday morning we got up at about 5:20am to ride forty minutes away to a balloon festival. In order for the balloons to fly it has to be less that 12 mile per hour winds up in the sky. Luckily, we were able to see some so the wind wasn't too bad. Although some of the balloons shifted and had to land somewhere else because of the breeze.
Drew and the kids loved watching them! We will definitely be going again next year, but at night so we can see them all lit up!
