good books anyone?

Today I found myself at Walmart, passing away the time while Drew was in school. I ended up in the book and magazine aisle. I just stood there looking at the books thinking, "I've read that one...and that one too." So, anyone have a good book that they recommend reading? And can they be found at the library?

Suggestions please!

Margaret Peterson Haddix has some good books. They are a younger read so they can be read quickly but they are really good. I like the cinderella version she has
Just Ella and the sequel Palace of mirrors. I also liked the shadow children series. I checked all these out from the library, so you should be able to get them there.

I also agree with Erica, I really enjoyed the Goose Girl series.

You have to join www.goodreads.com. It is a way to keep track of books you have read and want to read. The best part is you can find out what your friends are reading and recommend. I keep a running list on there of books I hear about so I just go to my good reads account and pick up my next book. It is awesome!

ok you might think i am a total nerd but i love the FABLEHAVEN book series. There are currently 3 of them. I absolutely loved them especially the 2nd and 3rd. I know a lot of people here who have read them and liked them as well. Rindee and Brad Hyatt liked them alot too, and Elise is currently reading them!

- A Thousand Splendid Suns (yes, it's at the library)
- Mick Harte Was Here (a kid's book, but so adorable - you'll love it!) (not at the library, but like $7 at Barnes and Noble)
- The Last Patriot (don't know if it's at the library, but you can borrow it from me when I'm done with it!)

Good luck picking! :)
