I did it!

Alright, so I decided not to wait until I got to Utah to start my baby blanket. Although I might make one there too! Drew and I went to the fabric store yesterday and he couldn't get over this fabric with trains on it! So, we brought it home and I got to work. I thought I'd start it and then finish it when I got the time, figured it was going to take me a long time! Well, the blanket wasn't as hard to do as I thought and I finished the whole thing! It only took me a couple hours to do it...not counting the washing of the fabric that had to come first! The hardest part was measuring and cutting both pieces of fabric so they are the same size. So here you have it...the finished project!

ponderings

I've been sitting here making a list of things to pack for our trip back to Utah...shirts, pants, dress clothes, etc. And it occurred to me, by the time I get back from Utah, I will only have two and a half months left of this pregnancy! I can't believe how time flies. When I was pregnant with Drew I thought I would be pregnant forever, now I'm wonder where the time has gone. In fact at my last Dr. appointments, they told me to take a copy of my records home with me just in case something happens. I mean, what the heck!! I told Doug that he needs to start getting out all of our baby stuff so that I can go through it, wash it all, and set things up. I'll need something to do when I get back.

I've also been wanting to make a baby blanket. You know those fleece kind that you sew that has the curved edges? Well, that's my project I want to do...I guess I need to get started on it or it will never be finished by the time Preston is here! Hopefully in Utah I can find some great fabric. I know Joanne's Fabric has some good things in there, but sometimes they aren't that cheep. Anyone know of a good place to get some fleece that's not too pricey?

21 1/2 Weeks

Alright, this is for all you just dying to know what I look like (mainly family and Erica)!! So, without further ado, I give you miss prego at 21 1/2 weeks!

Yep...that's right, another boy! This picture is his profile. We are so excited that Drew will now have someone to wrestle with!! And not to mention we don't have to buy a whole new wardrobe! So, for those of you who guessed boy, good job!

what a birthday

Well, Tuesday was my birthday...yep that's right! I turned the awesome age of 24! Although, for me, my birthday isn't that big of a deal, just another day. But for some reason, this year it was. And I think it was because this is the first birthday in about two years I've had family to share it with. Doug's family has been in town and we have had a blast with them.

Doug's parents got me an awesome pair of sandals. They are flip flops from Clarks, and they are SO comfortable! I needed a good pair of sandals that I could wear throughout my pregnancy this summer, and these are perfect!

My sister-in-law gave me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, I just need to go out today and get me a vase to put them in! Not to mention a shopping trip for maternity clothes from all the birthday money I scored, and yummy cookies from a wonderful friend!

Doug's present is the one I'm so excited to use...a day at the spa! He totally scored points there! It's a complete rejuvenation package that includes a massage, facial, shampoo and deep scalp massage, manicure and pedicure! Thanks babe! I love you!

Wednesday we took all the kids to the zoo and let them see the animals and especially the cute baby elephant! They had a blast and weren't ready to go when we finished everything at the zoo, (you can do that in about an hour)!

But before I go, you have to check out the cutest 6 week old ever! This is Quentin, Doug's sister's baby! I got to babysit him last night...oh what a cutie!! Drew wanted to hold him and sit by him all night! It was great!

Fourth of July

Happy 4th every body! I can't believe it's already here, but I'm sure glad it is! Family is in town and the party is just beginning! We will be enjoying this day with a little pool fun, some yummy food, family, and who could forget.....Fireworks!!

While Doug and I were waiting for Drew's bed time, Drew wanted to play catch with Doug...and obviously me, you'll see what I mean when you look at the video. We just couldn't help but film this. He puts his leg in the air when he pitches the ball. He had to have learned this from his friend Sam yesterday because Drew has never done this before. And at Doug's softball game last night, he saw Sam doing this. It's so cute!
